What are Skybuds?

Skybuds are truly wireless earbuds that come with a Skydock which stores and charges your Skybuds for easy on-the-go charging.

What does "truly wireless" mean?

There are no wires connecting the earbuds to each other or to your device. Skybuds connect using Bluetooth and near-field magnetic induction.

Do Skybuds work with Siri or Google?

Yes, simply press and hold the button on either Skybud for 2 seconds to activate the service.

Can I run while wearing Skybuds?

Yes, you can. Skybuds don't fall out. They are also water resistant so don't worry about getting them sweaty. 

Can I use Skybuds for phone calls?

Yes, Skybuds can make and receive phone calls. Press the button once to answer an incoming call. Press the button twice to decline an incoming call.

What is the sound quality of Skybuds?

Skybuds use a top of the line, balanced armature driver coupled with psychoacoustic features such as bass enhancement for premium quality sound.

What is the microphone quality of Skybuds?

Skybuds use a high-grade omnidirectional microphone that has features like noise suppression, echo cancellation and wind noise reduction.

Are Skybuds noise canceling?

Skybuds naturally suppress most external noise - something referred to as Passive Noise Cancellation.

Can I use Skybuds individually?

Technically, yes, Skybuds can either be used individually or as a pair. 

The "R" bud is the leader, which contains the technology needed to connect to the phone. The "L" bud is the follower, so it works by connecting to the right bud. The "L" bud is unable to function without the "R" bud, but the "R" bud can work by itself.

In terms of their physical shape, they are identical, so if you only want a bud in your left ear, you could move the bud with the "R" on it to your left ear and it will fit perfectly and function independently of the "L" bud.

Are Skybuds waterproof?

No, Skybuds are not waterproof, but they are water resistant. A little sweat won't hurt them.

Are Skybuds compatible with any device?

Skybuds are compatible with any device that supports Bluetooth 4.0 or above.

Please note that if you are using the Marshmallow OS on a Samsung device, you may run into limitations using our app. We recommend updating to the Nougat OS.

What is the Bluetooth range of Skybuds connecting to the audio source?

The range is at least 30 meters.

What is the connection range from earbud to earbud?

The range is about 25 centimeters, so at least the size of your head.

Can Skybuds be connected to more than one device at a time?

Skybuds can be paired to several devices, but can only have one active connection at a time.

Are Skybuds compatible with tablets?

Yes, Skybuds are compatible with any device that supports Bluetooth 4.0 or higher.

Are Skybuds compatible with iPhones?

Yes, Skybuds are compatible with any device that supports Bluetooth 4.0 or higher.

Are Skybuds compatible with Android phones?

Yes, Skybuds are compatible with any device that supports Bluetooth 4.0 or higher.

There are 3 different tip size variations for Skybuds.

BATTERY & CHARGING

How long will Skybuds play for?

Skybuds last for 4 hours of continuous playtime with an additional 5 charges in the Skydock for on-the-go charging.

How do I charge Skybuds?

You can charge Skybuds by placing them inside the Skydock.

How long does it take to charge Skybuds?

60 minutes. The Skybuds and the Skydock can be charged simultaneously.

How many additional charges does the Skydock hold?

5 additional charges for each Skybud.

How can I check the battery level of the Skybuds or Skydock?

You can use the app to monitor your battery life for both Skybuds and the Skydock. If you press the button on the Skydock, you'll be able to get feedback on the battery life via the LED lights on the top of the Skydock.

Do I have to deplete the battery before recharging them?

You can recharge them at any point. It will not damage the battery.

When will my order ship?

Please allow 2-3 business days for order processing. You will receive UPS or DHL tracking information when your order ships out. Standard shipping time varies based on location.

Can you ship to a P.O. Box or APO address?

No, unfortunately UPS is not able to deliver to P.O. Boxes or APO addresses. Please enter an alternate address at checkout.

How do I reset my Skybuds?

Press and hold the Skybud down for 15 seconds.

How do I make sure I have the latest firmware installed on Skybuds?

To install the latest firmware, go to the Skybuds App in the settings menu.

RETURNS

Do Skybuds come with a warranty?

Yes, Skybuds come with a standard one year warranty. The warranty is only valid for purchases made through the following authorized retailers: Skybuds.com, BestBuy, the Skybuds store on Amazon, b8ta, Bluwire and Fancy.com. Please keep a copy of your proof of purchase. The warranty is invalid if purchased through resellers on any other platform including eBay and Amazon.

Is it possible to order a replacement part?

Since we are a startup, we are unable to facilitate the replacement of individual components at this time.

What is the Return Policy?

If you are unsatisfied with your purchase from skybuds.com for any reason, you have 14 days from the date of receipt to request a refund. Once we’ve received the returned merchandise in good condition, your refund will be processed to the payment method used to place your order within 10 business days. You will not be reimbursed for any shipping costs.

For purchases made through one of our retail partners, please adhere to that particular retail store’s return policy.

To request a refund, please follow the steps below:

Please request a Return Authorization from our customer service team by emailing support@skybuds.com with the following information:

  • Subject line for Email: Return Skybuds
  • Name and Email
  • Order number for online purchase
  • Reason for Return
  • If available, please include pictures/video to show your reason for return.

Please note that we will not refund or exchange any product that is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error. We must receive the returned item within ten (10) days after your return has been authorized. 

IMPORTANT RETURN INFORMATION

  1. To make the return, all items and accessories (including Skybuds, Skydock, charging cable, earbud tips and instructions) originally included with your purchase must be in the same condition (not physically broken or damaged) that you received them and must also be in the original packaging.
  2. Please note that failure to return all items included with your product, or returning the product without the manufacturer packaging may result in the product(s) being shipped back to you at your own expense.
  3. For domestic returns, the cost of the return shipping label will be deducted from your refund total.
  4. For international returns, you will be responsible for shipping the item to us. We will not be able to refund any international taxes or duties.

REFUND INFORMATION

Once the return is received and verified to meet all of the above conditions, please allow 10 business days from the date of receipt for the credit to appear on your account. Credit will be issued to the payment method or credit card used for your original purchase only. We will not refund original or return shipping costs or duties.
