Can you track AirPods with serial numbers?

The short and unfortunate answer to can you track Airpods with serial numbers is simply “No”.

While it is beneficial for you to know the numbers, it’s no use in digitally tracking your AirPods. However, Apple does have certain methods that can help you track down your AirPods in the event you lost one or both pairs. Though, it won’t be of much help if the AirPods are far away from you or have been stolen.

Still, we are happy to show you how you can track your lost AirPods.

Can you track your AirPods if they’re connected to another phone?

You can track your AirPods only if they have been paired with an Apple device and you have the said device. If your AirPods have not been connected to an iPhone or an iPad, you won’t be able to use it to track down your AirPods.

If you did pair it with a device though, you can use any Apple device for tracking as long as it’s the same account used to pair.

Final Thoughts

If your AirPods are simply crushed under the cushions, finding them is easy. As long as those are online though. If your AirPods are lost in another location but online, you can still find them. It is only if your AirPods are lost, offline, and never turned on again that you need to worry. At that point, it might be best to buy a new one and hope your old ones will turn up one day.
