Are Beyerdynamic open-back models the optimal streamer headsets?

No, and yes. Beyerdynamic headphones aren’t specifically designed for streaming. However, open-back models from the brand do make great options for streaming in terms of comfort and audio performance.

Open-back headphones have openings on the outer earcups that make them breathable than their closed-back counterparts. In other words, the best headphones for streaming are the ones that ensure a high level of comfort even during long hours of usage.

Open-back headphones have one of the best audio performances as well. The ear cup openings open up more room for the sound drivers to vibrate dynamically and maintain more headroom. This, in turn, broadens the soundstage and gives the overall audio performance an airy feel. High-quality open-back headphones from Beyerdynamic and other brands are definitely suitable for long hours of streaming as well as gaming.

The Takeaway

One of the most interesting observations from the list of streamers’ headphones we’ve curated is no two streamer are using the same headphone model. Some streamers use a specific headphone model for their unique requirements while other endorse a specific brand’s models.

There’s nothing wrong in being star-struck by your favorite gamer/streamer and going for the headphone model they use/endorse. However, one important takeaway to weigh in is the best headphone for you is the one that sounds and fits the best to you. So, don’t limit your options to just fan-favorite models and instead proactively research and explore different option in order to make an informed decision.
